Although James Gunn has shown love for Henry Cavill as Superman, he has now made it clear he will no longer be playing Superman for WB/DC. This comes not long after the news that DC plans on rebooting their whole movie universe, and everything is up in the air. Gunn has stated the new Superman movie will focus on a younger Superman. This is the second time fans have been let down with the hopes of Henry Cavill returning as Superman.
Its looking like even the Justice League pulling it together as a team will not save Superman from death this time. It may be quite awhile if ever until we see Henry Cavill as Superman. Henry Cavill was even featured in an end credit scene for Black Adam as Superman. Now considered a bad move to hype fans for something that may never happen.
