Multiversus is a new game by Warner Bros. Games and Players First Games. It a tag team fighting game like Super Smash Bros featuring characters from all over the Warner Brothers entertainment company such as Bugs Bunny, Shaggy, Finn, and Superman. It is available to play on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, and Xbox. It is currently free to play and in open beta!

Beginner’s Guide and Tips for Multiversus
Currently Multiversus in in open beta so there is no ranked play. So just choose your favorite characters and enjoy the game! It isn’t to heavy on characters and game modes yet, but much more is sure to come. Use this guide to get more familiar with the game and dive in along with us.
Tip! Multiversus is a team game so learn to work well with your teammates and practice using combos and support to ensure more wins.
Tip! Bugs Bunny is said to be overpowered currently in Multiversus and will soon be nerfed down for more balance in play.
Tip! To play multiplayer with the same console or pc (Couch Co-op) go to custom games and select local play.

Currently there are 17 playable characters in Multiversus with many more to come. Characters can be included in one of four classes such as:

How To Unlock Characters in Multiversus
Characters can be unlocked using gold or Gleamium. Gleamium can only be bought with real money, but gold can be obtained by completing the starter missions, daily mission and getting toasted by other characters. See more on gold farming in our gold farming part of the guide. Also, free characters will be rotated out as well.
Tip! Try a character out with practice before using your hard earned resources to make sure you like the character and will use them in the game.
Tip! Any character can be played in custom local play games as well.
Upcoming Unreleased Characters For Multiversus
There are plenty more characters coming soon and much later for Multiversus. Some future character releases has been leaked and rumored. However there are some other clues already in the game. One major clue that Rick and Morty will be in Multiversus is the fact they already have a stage! Every other stage in game is associated with a character. Another big clue that more characters is to come is that there are 30 character tokens, but currently only 17 playable characters.

Currently it is believed Gandalf and Harry Potter are having problems with the rights from other companies. This will also affect other Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter characters as well.

How To GEt Gold In Multiversus
Gold is your main game resource in Multiversus. There are a few ways to gain gold while playing the game. However, the fastest and best way to farm up gold in multiverse is simply keep playing the game! Playing with other people rewards gold, but playing tutorials, against bots, or custom local play games does not. To gain bonus gold play with a friend and you will get 30% more gold. Also, when you first start the game you will get a gold boost for finishing the starter missions. After that, each day will have six daily missions for more gold.
Tip! Daily Missions can be rerolled once free. After that they cost Gold.

How To Level Up In Multiversus
Gaining XP and leveling in Multiversus offers many benefits. Leveling the mastery of each character will gain more perks to use in the game. Leveling XP also gives cosmetics and sometimes rewards gold. Just like getting gold, the best way to get more XP is to just keep playing the game!
Here are a few ways to get XP and level in Multiversus:
- Rested XP – Gain 2x XP
- Play against or with other players (not bots)
- Complete Season Milestones
- Play with a friend – 30% more XP
Using Perks In Multiversus
If there is one thing that is just as important as team fighting and knowing your character in Multiversus, its using perks! Perks are special traits that adds bonus stats and effects to your characters and teams. Perks are unlocked by leveling up.
There are two main categories for perks. Universal perks are used by any character, and can gain bonuses if both teammates use the same perk. Signature perks are only used by a specific character. Each character has two or three signature perks they can use.
Perks also fall into 3 different types depending on their usage. You can tell which type of perk it is by the color of the perk symbol.
- Green Perks: Utility
- Red Perks: Offensive
- Blue Perks: Defensive
Unlocking Perks in Multiversus
Perks are unlocked by leveling up individual characters. Characters unlock about 7 perks before reaching max or higher levels. Some universal perks can be reached at lower levels than other characters! So you may want to level some characters you don’t play as often to receive all the perks.
Tip! A character has to be level 9 to use other characters perks.
The ability to benefit from ally perks unlocks at mastery level 4, and the ability to train for any perk unlocks at mastery level 9. Signature perks are unlocked at mastery levels 8 and 10, and 12 if they have a third.
