Netflix has confirmed Squid Games 2 is happening, and this week casting and filming has already started to be planned. The pastel colored Korean version of a Hunger Games like series will come back with more brutal challenges and old and new characters.

The internet id buzzing about then news of Jo Yuri being casted for Squid Games 2. Jo Yuri is popular Korean singer/actress whose career started off with the group Iz*One. PopBase on Twitter has claimed many other castings as well including Aespa’s Winter, Jeon Soyeon, IVE’s Leeseo, and even BlackPink.
The show Squid Games 2 and Netflix came under fire earlier this year for lack of female cast. IDK why people want more females in a show that brutally kills its cast, but okay. Now there seems to be an overwhelming amount of female cast announcements.
