Deadpool 3 is now filming in UK, and there is many said rumors of characters that will pop up from the Fox and MCU Universe. Hopefully, this latest rumor is true, and we will see Ben Affleck play Daredevil/Matt Murdock one more time.
Nothing is out of the realm of possibilities when it comes to time travel and multiverses. Just look at how many heroes and villains have showed up recently in movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Flash, and Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness. So far we do know that Deadpool 3 will feature Hugh Jackman returning to play Wolverine, and may even wear the classic costume for fans! Owen Wilson will also star in Deadpool 3, reprising his TVA agent role from Loki. So continuing on the MCU’s phase 3 multiverse them, Deadpool will be time travelling and jumping from universe to universe, believable to at some point finally land in the MCU.
Since Marvel bought the rights back from Fox for all the X-Men characters many new heroes and villains have started to show up in the MCU. and its fairly estrablished Ryan Reynolds will continue to play Deadpool in the MCU. This movie is suppose to set that up. Also, it is said because of certain contracts, existing characters and roles must stay the same unitl 2025 or later. This means we may see many classic Fox X-Men characters from the Movies such as James McAvoy’s/Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Ian McKellen’s/Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, and many possible others.
Ben Affleck wasn’t part of the Marvel Fox universe. But he did play him in 2003 in a movie. In the film, Affleck’s portrayal depicted Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who, after being exposed to a radioactive substance as a child, develops heightened senses and uses them to fight crime as the masked vigilante Daredevil. Affleck’s performance captured the character’s internal struggle, showcasing his determination, agility, and conflicted nature. While the film received mixed reviews, Affleck’s portrayal of Daredevil demonstrated his dedication to the role and his commitment to bringing the iconic superhero to life on the big screen. So it wouldn’t be surprising to at least see a cameo if his version of Daredevil in Deadpool 3.
