Comingsoon.com and other medias have claimed that Channing Tatum may not be playing the lead role in Fox’s Gambit, a spin-off X-Men movie, set to release in October 2016. Reasons why have not been confirmed, though it was said Tatum and Fox have had a falling out. Channing Tatum was also supposed to work as a producer on the movie. There are no details as to whether or not he will still help produce it or not, even if he is booted from the film. There has been talk about Channing playing as Gambit for a while now and he even appeared at San Diego’s Comicon to promote his role. Fox is set to start filming this fall so a decision will have to be made soon.

Other sites have also stated Tatum is having financial problems, which may have to do with the production side. Many fans of the X-Men have heavily criticized Tatum playing Gambit. So having a quick replacement may even work out better for Fox’s future X-Men movies.
