The internet exploded today with the news of President Trump testing positive with Covid-19. The FLOTUS, first lady, has shown positive test results as well. As one could expect, memes are popping hot on Reddit, Twitter, and the rest of the internet, adding to the drama you couldn’t make up in 2020. Between Spooktober/Halloween memes and Presidential Debate 2020 memes, two days in October proves to continue this years crazy trends.

A man in Kentucky was caught driving a vehicle with a fake tag. Not expired, not wrong vehicle, but this tag was completely hand drawn. However, he didn’t seem to put the tag year on it. This deserves definitely an A for effort, but bad execution.

China Bans NBA, Winnie the Pooh, and South Park

Panda pandering is nothing new as of late. Marvel changed the classic Iron Man Villain The Mandarin to not offend the Chinese market. The Ancient One in Doctor Strange is originally from Tibet, which China does not recognize, so he was change to a woman of Celtic heritage. Star Wars has obviously placed more Chinese characters into the series to help gain their market as well. It is a sure fact that China has been affecting the creativity and writing of American produced media for sometime now.

But lately, China’s control of western media has become more severe, with bans of certain medias and even making American based companies make decisions based on the market. (See our post on Hearthstone player banned after showing support for Hong Kong Protest) This year there have been three major bans, close in timing, making headlines all over social media.

Baby Sasquatch Caught On Camera

In the South of the U.S.A, around the Tennessee and Georgia state line, a baby Sasquatch (or Bigfoot) has been spotted wondering in the woods.

The YouTuber, was investigating site claims that a baby bigfoot was in the area. Although it is commonly called Bigfoot in the south, here he refers to him as a Sasquatch. It is uncertain if the names are only different from north to south, or if it is a different species entirely. Personally, I think there are related animals of the same species, much like different dog breeds. Whichever, it is clear there was some kind of creature in the woods this day.

Daredevil Cancelled On Netflix, May Move To Disney Plus or Big Screen

As a long time Daredevil fan, I am hoping this news is bittersweet. Marvel’s Daredevil (the show not the movie) on Netflix has been cancelled after a critically well received season three. This would be a strange move for such a well written and performed show, but it is believed business politics are involved. Goodbye Stan Lee

The internet exploded, with social media love and appreciation for Stan Lee, who passed recently. I didn’t make a post on this the day of. Everyone knew, and I choose to celebrate his life instead of working on a post. But there is a couple of things I will quietly say.

ComicsandMemes would not of existed without him. Stan Lee inspired me to take such an interest in comics. His passion and love for comics accompanied by his comforting/charismatic personality accompanied with a fatherly unique voice made him the grandfather of many comic families.

Rest in peace Stan Lee, the world will never be the same without you. Yet he sure did change it why he was here.
