Disney Plus Streaming Service Shows & Movies

Disney plans to launch its own online streaming service for its shows in movies. Calling this service Disney Plus, it is planned to be released in early 2018. It will be a strong competition for Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and other streaming services.

Disney currently owns Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, and soon Fox, along with all its other famous stories and movies. The streaming service will feature classics along with new remakes and original shows. It sounds like its going to drop with quite a kick. Daredevil Cancelled On Netflix, May Move To Disney Plus or Big Screen

As a long time Daredevil fan, I am hoping this news is bittersweet. Marvel’s Daredevil (the show not the movie) on Netflix has been cancelled after a critically well received season three. This would be a strange move for such a well written and performed show, but it is believed business politics are involved. Goodbye Stan Lee

The internet exploded, with social media love and appreciation for Stan Lee, who passed recently. I didn’t make a post on this the day of. Everyone knew, and I choose to celebrate his life instead of working on a post. But there is a couple of things I will quietly say.

ComicsandMemes would not of existed without him. Stan Lee inspired me to take such an interest in comics. His passion and love for comics accompanied by his comforting/charismatic personality accompanied with a fatherly unique voice made him the grandfather of many comic families.

Rest in peace Stan Lee, the world will never be the same without you. Yet he sure did change it why he was here.

So, looking for scary face pictures for Halloween profile pics, and this is in the top of the search. Okay then Google, keeping it relevant to the times I guess.

Cyborg, Android, or Robot?

Often in sci-fi movies and comics we see a mix of robotics and AI lifeforms that often play a major part. Although all are based on technology and AI theories, all three are uniquely different.  Continue reading “Cyborg, Android, or Robot?”

Mannequin Challenge Videos

Another viral craze raising awareness has hit the web. Starting at a Jacksonville Florida High School, the fad includes a group of people standing completely still while a video cam or phone moves around recording. In the background the song “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd plays. The internet craze is attached to awareness for testicular cancer. #MannequinChallenge

Doctor Strange Review: Give Marvel A Hand!

doctor-strange-hero-of-handsWell, in case you haven’t noticed yet,in every Marvel MCU movie in what is called Phase 2, someone loses a hand or arm. This is said to be a shout out to the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Because not only do they lose hand, but its not a big deal. Hands and arms are apparently easy to replace in the superhero worlds. Which leads us to Doctor Strange!

Will Marvel Cancel Fantastic Four Comics? Doubt it

Recent rumors, supposedly started by Bleeding Cool, suggests Marvel may cancel their Fantastic Four comics to directly hurt Fox.
fantastic four cancelled 2014 2015
Okay, well first off let me say they might, but it won’t have anything to do with Fox, like many are saying. Marvel is constantly changing around the comic book lines to stay fresh and adapt. Recently, Marvel for the first time cancelled the ongoing Uncanny X-Men, which had been numbered up to #544 since 1963. Since then I don’t get suprised about anything they do.

But like many of the relaunches, would they actually do it to hurt the new Fox movie Fantastic Four reboot? I honestly believe this move would hurt Marvel and favor Fox. My out come is this.

If Marvel was to cancel the series, they would have to refund or replace every subcription to the comic book, and with collectors, stores, and online sellers, that would be quite a bit to replace. Not only that, but it would leave a hole of content for diehard FF fans, possibly causing them to wait for the movie, then go see it!

So if I am wrong and for some reason the Fantastic Four do get cancelled, it won’t be because the movie.

I would like to say real quick that I hope the movie takes advantage of the Ultimate Fantastice Four, using the four elements as a source of their powers.

Mr. Fantastic – Water
Invisible Woman – Air
Human Torch – Obviously he is flowers
The Thing – Earth
