The soccer/football legend King Pele passed away today after losing an ongoing battle with cancer since 2021. King Pele was consider one of if not the best of all time football player. He was the soccer GOAT (greatest of all time) to many. King had won three FIFA world cups, and scored 1,279 goals in 1,363 games. King Pele was 82 at his time of death.
King’s career started when he was only 15, playing for the national Brazilin team at only age 16. Early on he was promoted as a super star of sports and continued as so through his whole career. He finished off his soccer career playing for the New York Cosmos for a few years in America, where he was revered as the greatest player. The news of King Pele dying today will sure be a hurtful loss to many football fans, but his legacy will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, sports legend, the famous football player King Pele.
