The 1602 card variants in Marvel snap features characters from an alternate universe storyline. The character covers are based off a comic series in Marvel written by Neil Gaiman and featuring popular artists Adam Kubert, Richard Isanove, and Scott McKowen. It is based in the early years 1600s during the Elizabethan Era and around the Renaissance, between the mediaeval and modern era story lines.
